Tillskärarakademin in Gothenburg, established in 1947, is a leading institution in textile craftsmanship, specializing in fashion and stage costume design. Located in the heart of Gothenburg, the academy provides an inspiring environment where tradition meets innovation. Our students refine their skills and creative vision in a dynamic setting, building a strong foundation for careers in the textile industry.

We offer five full time programmes. One foundation programme and four Higher Vocational Education programmes (1–3 years), supervised and funded by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education. 

Beyond our full-time programmes, Tillskärarakademin i Göteborg offers evening, weekend, and summer courses for individuals looking to develop their skills or explore new areas within textiles and fashion. Our strong industry connections give students valuable networking opportunities and hands-on experience throughout their studies.
